On November 17th – the Romanians will be celebrating for the very first time the Day without Debts

07-11-2011

Bucharest, 7th November. There are only 10 days remaining until the very first time when the Romanians will be celebrating the first nationwide Day without Debts. It is not a day approved by the Parliament, but it is the day when we have the special reflection moment to promise ourselves not to make any more debts, to promise ourselves to repay the existing ones or to set ourselves a concrete debt repayment plan. The idea of Day without Debts is the initiative of KRUK International, top company on the receivables collection market in Romania.

Romanians are not the only ones who are trying to get rid of debts on November 17th, The concept was implemented by the KRUK SA Group, the leader of the receivables in Poland, in 2009. It is thus for the third year in a row that the Polish are celebrating on the same date the nationwide  Day without Debts.

How to use the Day without  Debts?
In case of colleagues it is enough to say: "You know that today is a Day without Debt and I have borrowed a tenner from you once. I just thought that I probably haven't returned it. You know, it is a great opportunity to settle this case!".  And you may save your face this way.

It works exactly in the same way in case of debts in banks and other institutions:  "Day without Debt is coming soon and so I would also like to get rid of debts. I know I haven't contacted you before, but now on the Day without Debt I would like to talk about possible ways of repayment. I do not have the whole amount, but maybe we could split the debt in installments - installments I would be able to repay?". Such action has a high probability of success. People working in collection companies want to find a way for debt repayment too.

Repaying the debts cannot be indefinitely postponed! Thus, on November 17th we invite everybody to pay the debts incurred, utilities bills, telephone bills, and small loans from friends or an installment to the bank. We invite you to free yourself from this problem which definitely worries you and let us celebrate together the Day without Debts!

November 17th  could first of all represent an occasion to understand that any amount, no matter how small, not paid in time, represents a debts, and the persons who lend it expects it to be returned. If they do not receive their money they themselves could face financial difficulties.

The nationwide Day without Debts is part of the educational platform “Datoria mea”, launched on September 20th, 2011 by the receivables collection company KRUK International. The campaign aims to determine the population to adopt a more responsible attitude towards loans and repayment of debts.  The online communication platform www.datoriamea.ro is an invitation to all persons with debts to interact and find out the basic steps in controlling the level of their debts and the steps to be taken during the receivable collection process.

Until the 17th of November, each of us will be able to analyze the financial situation in order to find the best way to solve our own financial issues. Each of us can cut down useless expenses, can remember how much money he owes and to whom and can start repaying the debts.
